Dragon Pixel Engine

An early-development C++20/Qt editor and game/app builder for code-first MonoGame and KNI projects, with C# and C++ components and isolated runtime workers.

Dragon Pixel Engine brings visual scene construction, hierarchy, inspector, project, and play workflows to code-first projects without making Unity a dependency. The public repository documents a C++20/Qt editor, portable native core, .NET workers, MonoGame as the primary adapter, and an experimental KNI path. It remains early development with open platform, accessibility, packaging, and end-to-end acceptance gates.

Outcomes

  • +Keeps source ownership visible across C# and C++ workflows
  • +Separates authoring from isolated preview and play runtimes
  • +Preserves open acceptance boundaries instead of overstating release readiness
